Validate Indian Financial System Code (IFSC) structure and identify issuing bank.
Check whether any IFSC code follows the correct format before adding it to an invoice or payment instruction.
IFSC stands for Indian Financial System Code. It is an 11-character alphanumeric code assigned to each bank branch in India by the Reserve Bank of India. IFSC codes are used to identify the specific bank and branch for NEFT, RTGS, and IMPS transactions.
Without a correct IFSC code, bank transfers cannot be processed.
An IFSC code has exactly 11 characters: the first 4 uppercase letters represent the bank code, the 5th character is always 0, and the last 6 characters identify the branch.
For example, SBIN0001234 indicates State Bank of India, branch 001234.
A incorrectly formatted IFSC code on an invoice or payment form will cause the transfer to fail. Banks reject payments with invalid IFSC codes.
Validating the format before sharing your bank details on an invoice takes seconds and prevents payment delays.
Enter the 11-character IFSC code. The tool checks whether it follows the correct structure: 4 bank code letters, 0, and 6 branch characters.
If the format is valid, proceed with confidence. If it fails, recheck your bank passbook or account statement for the correct IFSC.
Your IFSC code appears on your bank passbook, cheque book, account statement, and on your bank's official website. You can also find it on the RBI NEFT portal.
Always copy the IFSC from an official source rather than typing it manually to avoid errors.
